Completion of PGCHE

Over the past 14 months I have been completing the University of Birmingham Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education course. This requires learning about a multitude of different pedagogical areas of higher education covering topics such as how to develop effective teaching and learning, developing skills alongside academic excellence, quality assurance & enhancement, and gaining an understanding of the broader UK Higher Education Landscape. I recently finished the last of three assessed pieces of work and upon completion, am now recognised as a Fellow of AdvanceHE (previously known as Higher Education Academy), the professional body for University Lecturers. It has been a lot of work alongside a full teaching and research load so I am pleased to have finished this requirement at last!
